Pare Lorentz Film Center at the FDR Library

The Pare Lorentz Film Center is a non-profit institution that was created to preserve the legacy of films created during the era of Franklin D. Roosevelt. BTC was selected to redesign and rebuild the film center’s website. Pare Lorentz was a prize winning director from that era, and was considered FDR’s film maker. The film center was created as a legacy to his talents. The films in the library cover the Great Depression, World War II, and beyond. The films in the archive will be made available free to educators through the newly developed website’s lending library, which was fully developed by BTC. View it here.

Microsoft promises to wow people who are upgrading from Windows XP to its new operating system, but with the joys of Windows Vista comes plenty of pain.

The bottom line from BTC is …. existing PC’s are not ready for Vista nor will they really ever be. The best advice is to wait until you are ready to upgrade your PC and then get a truly Vista compatible machine with Vista pre-installed by the PC maker.

Eugene Fleishman, CPA

BTC was selected to install a new server system for Eugene Fleishman, CPA an accounting firm located in Poughkeepsie, NY.

They wished to upgrade their systems by adding a new dedicated server to their existing computer network. BTC will supply complete hardware supply, setup and configuration of the new system. The project will include moving all their current networked tax and accounting applications from a non-dedicated server to the new server, installation of a gateway secruity appliance, as well as minor upgrades to their networking and workstations.

Birchwild Website

BTC was selected to develop a website for a very large real estate sales project located in the Quebec province of Canada.

BTC will provide complete website development services including map and property plan development. The project includes working with a vast number of photographs to properly deliver this high end real estate web site.

BTC will collaborate with Phillippa Ewing, a marketing consultant; Kathleen Corby, a graphic designer; Bill Boxer and a number of other photographers; and Sean Thompson who will develop the maps and property plan.

Hopewell Precision

BTC Consulting has been chosen to provide high level consulting services to Hopewell Precision Inc., a manufacturer of fabricated sheetmetal products.

Hopewell Precision needed BTC’s expertise in helping them upgrade their current manufacturing computer system. The project will include helping them select a new manufacturing automation system as well as complete replacement of their servers, workstations and other peripheral equipment and software.

Hopewell Precision

Apollo Sprayers

This manufacturer of specialty sprayers for the high quality hobbyist industry wishes to improve their on-line presence and add features to their existing web site. BTC will work closely with the manufacturer to design a site that is user centric and improves the effectiveness of their web presence, including a new product catalog, new visual design, a mailing list feature, a user registration function, premium content for registered users, and a news area with discussion function.

Town of Lagrange

BTC Consulting was selected to upgrade and support the Town of Lagrange’s networked computer systems.

The Town Supervisor, George Wade and the Town Board met and decided to select BTC to complete an upgrade to their computer systems and provide continuing support.

The town had an aging server and network system that was in dire need of attention. BTC replaced their server, upgraded their network equipment, replaced a number of old PC’s and solved a myriad of connection and performance problems that had been plauging the town for some time.

The town has a complex operation and a growing community population that depends on the Town to provide services and support for the local community. The Town’s operations include the Town Clerk’s Office for licensing and information, the Courts for community judicial services, the Planning and Zoning office for property zoning administration and building permits and inspections, the Recreation Department for management of all the town recreational facilities and programs and the Highway Department to maintain all the Town’s Roadways. And lest you forget their is an Accounting Office that keeps the town finances in order.

They now have a reliable high performance computer system that will support their continued efforts to provide top quality services to the Town of Lagrange community.

BTC Consulting has been selected to help Dutchess Outreach develop a comprehensive technology plan.

Dutchess Outreach is a charitable organization located in Poughkeepsie, NY that helps less fortunate individuals solve life problems, helps feed the homeless and a myriad of other services.

The new technology plan will help them predictably plan for the future and continue to do a great job for the Poughkeepsie community.
